How to Say Pigs in Chinese

Pig in Chinese is called 猪(Zhū).

One pig is 一头猪 (yītóu zhū); two pigs are 两头猪 (liǎngtóu zhū). How about “many pigs”? We can say 很多头猪 (hěnduō tóu zhū).

A Mama Pig can have as many as 10 piglets.
猪妈妈可以有多达10头仔猪。
zhū Māmā kěyǐ yǒu duō dá 10 tóu zǐzhū.

How to Write Pigs in Chinese

As you might know, we need to pay attention to the right stroke order when we write Chinese characters. 猪 is not an easy character and here is how to write it in the right stroke order:

If you already know the body parts of a person, it is quite easy to name the body parts of a pig. The terms are pretty much the same, what you need to do is to add “猪” in front of the body parts.
