Welcome to Day 1 of the 30-Day Thematic Chinese Word Challenge! 🎉

We’re so excited to kick off this language learning adventure with you and your little learners! Over the next 30 days, we’ll explore fun themes and learn 10 essential Mandarin words each day – perfect for building a strong foundation for kids and beginners.

Today’s theme is Numbers (数字 – shùzì)! We’ll learn how to count from 1 to 10. Numbers pop up everywhere, so these are super useful words to know right from the start. Let’s get counting!

Today’s 10 Thematic Words: Numbers 1-10

Learning to count is fundamental! Pay close attention to the Pinyin spelling and the tone marks – they’re important for correct pronunciation. Watch the video below to hear them clearly!

Fun Fact: Look closely at the characters for 1, 2, and 3 – they look just like one, two, and three lines! Easy to remember, right?

一 (yī) – One

二 (èr) – Two

三 (sān) – Three

四 (sì) – Four

五 (wǔ) – Five

六 (liù) – Six

七 (qī) – Seven

八 (bā) – Eight

九 (jiǔ) – Nine

十 (shí) – Ten
